There are many reasons why you might want to remove duplicate data from a group of cells in a spreadsheet, and thankfully, it is easy to do.

Steps to remove duplicate data in Excel

  1. Select the range of cells that have duplicate values you want to remove.
  2. Click the Data tab, then click Remove Duplicates.  Under Columns, check or uncheck the columns where you want to remove the duplicates.
  3. Click OK.

The duplicate data is now gone!
